Date Set for the 2009 Gathering of Goddesses to Benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County

STUART, FL – Women of all ages and backgrounds will convene for the annual Gathering of Goddesses on Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart. This ever popular women-only event, benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County, is a fun-filled evening of dinner, drinks, dancing, shopping and a vast array of pampering and salon services.

Now in its sixth year, the Gathering of Goddesses is building on its past success and adding some new twists and treats as well. It will still feature the popular pampering area with services such as manicures, pedicures, massages and facials. The unique boutique area will be filled with trendy and classic merchandise from various local vendors and national name brands. An enhanced mystical readings area will also have more tarot card and palm readers and astrologists.

Becoming a goddess is even more affordable, thanks to a significant reduction in the ticket price from $150 to $100 per person, as well as fee reductions for shopping vendors to reserve space in the boutique area. “We hope that the reduced ticket price encourages even more women to take time out for themselves at this fabulous event that also benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs,” explained Stacy Ranieri, Co-Chair of the 2009 Gathering of Goddesses.

Members of the 2009 Gathering of Goddesses committee include Jessica Briske, Patty Brookshire, Amy Brunjes, Dominique Calero, Tasha Chen, Kendall Clifford, Leslie Corcoran, Kathryn Durno, Mindi Fetterman, Tracey Henkes, Rhonda Irons, Melissa Meeker (Co-Chair), Kathleen Roberts, Rachel Scott, Anabella Segura-Motto, Stacy Ranieri (Co-Chair), Karen Smith, Sandra Stiger, Charry Thacker, and Lisa Quaglia.

"Goddesses" is a fundraiser to benefit the new Palm City Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County. Funds raised will be earmarked for the Club’s comprehensive youth development programs that focus on education, character and leadership skills, health and life skills, recreation and the creative arts.

Local shopping vendors have the opportunity to reserve a space and sell their merchandise in the unique boutique area for just $100. The Goddess committee is also seeking local spas and salons that are interested in participating as service providers for the evening at no cost. Additional opportunities, such as advertising in the event program for $100, are available to the local business community.

A $100 donation reserves your place at the “Gathering of Goddesses.” Sponsorships begin at $250 and are still needed to underwrite the costs of the event. For more information or to RSVP contact Juliet Ciaravino at (772) 545-2262 or jciaravino@bgcmcfl.org.
