Keep Martin Beautiful is growing.

The nonprofit environmental organization recently welcomed two new members to its board of directors: Erin Jenkins-Banas and Samantha Pessolano. The incoming directors are motivated and ready to prove their commitment to improving and enhancing the quality of life in Martin County through litter prevention, waste reduction, beautification, community improvement, and environmental stewardship education.

Both women bring a strong knowledge base and skill set to Keep Martin Beautiful.  Jenkins-Banas manages Jenkins Landscape Co. She and the company have a long history of involvement in Keep Martin Beautiful’s litter prevention projects, beautification and revitalization activities. Pessolano is a biologist for Ecological Associates Inc. and has volunteered for Keep Martin Beautiful events and helped to garner monetary support for the organization for several years.

Keep Martin Beautiful also has a new volunteer coordinator for the International Coastal Cleanup. Patricia Strutz is hard at work preparing for this global cleanup event, which is the third Saturday of September each year.
