On Oct. 27, Lesser Lesser Landy & Smith attorney Charles “Chuck” Geary will begin a week long, 250-mile ‘Cycling for a Cause’ journey from Florida City to Key West.

This is Geary’s tenth annual ride to the Keys, so to commemorate this special occasion and in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month he has chosen SafeSpace, the only certified domestic violence center on the Treasure Coast, to receive all proceeds raised from his ride.

An avid cyclist since he was a teenager, Chuck has been an advocate for cyclists in Martin County and across the state.

He has advocated for safer bike lanes in Stuart, donated bikes and helmets to children in need, and now represents cyclists injured in bike accidents as a personal injury attorney with Lesser Lesser Landy and Smith.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, Chuck will kick off his historic ride with a Celebrity Bartending event at LouRonzo’s restaurant in downtown Stuart beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This fundraising event will feature attorneys from the firm along with other community notables including Martin County Commissioner Ed Ciampi, Lorna Day, Lorett Fribourg, Chuck Geary, Chad Hastings, Gary Lesser, Pete Morello, and Elliot Paul mixing up drinks and serving delicious appetizers.
