The Firefly Group is Growing and Glowing
Palm City, Fla. – As spring turns into summer, college students turn into interns. This summer The Firefly Group is excited to welcome two interns, Reilly and Catherine, also known at the Firefly office as “glowworms.” They will be immersed in a variety of client projects and activities, providing them with a valuable hands-on marketing and public relations work experience.
Reilly Weidner, a rising senior at Florida State University, is excited to spend the summer in her hometown of Stuart and as a glowworm at the Firefly Group. Pursuing a BS in marketing, Reilly hopes to use her degree for a future in event planning. She is currently enhancing the social media presence of one of Firefly’s environmental nonprofits, Keep Martin Beautiful, and assisting with its International Coastal Cleanup and Adopt-a-Road programs.
Firefly’s other glowworm, Catherine Grace Beaulieu, is also a rising senior at Florida State University. Catherine Grace, a.k.a. CG, is in the advertising program and will receive her BS next spring. Originally from Broward County, she is a transplant to the Treasure Coast and has been enjoying her time at Firefly learning more about the area. CG is interested in all things related to marketing and social media. She will be spending some of her time at the Firefly Group promoting and securing support for the Florida Ranches Calendar, which Firefly has published for the past 17 years.
“Firefly is delighted to provide a work experience to young people looking to pursue a career in marketing and public relations,” said Stacy Ranieri, Firefly’s President and Chief Illuminator. “Through our internship program, we want to encourage students who left Martin County to come back and replant their roots here. Our community and our industry will benefit from the fresh ideas and new energy of Generation Z.”
