Piper's Landing doubles match showcases Martin County, Jensen Beach high school tennis superstars

Outstanding high school tennis stars treated the members of Piper’s Landing in Palm City to a fast-paced doubles match to celebrate this spring’s annual End of the Season Tennis Exhibition.

Cullen de Windt, director of tennis and head pro at Piper’s Landing, invited Josh and Ryan Glaspey, the No. 1 doubles team from Martin County High School, to take on Ellie Schoppe of Jensen Beach High School, currently ranked No. 7 in Girls 16s in the state of Florida, with de Windt as her partner.

“I wanted to give the members a dazzling, high-energy display of competitive tennis, and the kids delivered!," said de Windt. "Everyone was inspired and really appreciated being a part of our event. All of us understand the importance of sports in school and this was a great chance to see what kids can achieve.”

Ryan Glaspey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Martin County High School this year and will attend the Burnett’s Honor’s College at UCF, studying computer science. He played No. 1 singles the last two years and No. 1 doubles all four years of high school...
