And the FPRA public relations professionals Image Award winners are . . .

PORT ST LUCIE — The Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) presented 11 awards for excellence in public relations programming at FPRA’s recent Image Awards luncheon.

Four individuals were also honored as Communicator of the Year.

The Image Awards competition is conducted annually by FPRA to recognize outstanding public relations programs on the Treasure Coast and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism.

This year’s judges consisted of accredited PR practitioners from neighboring FPRA chapters who have a history of winning Image Awards.

Division A Awards were presented for Public Relations Programs.

In the category of Crisis Communications, an Image Award was presented to St. Lucie County Communications, Erick Gill, Mike Claus and Patrick LeJeune for Hurricane Irma.

In the category of Promotional/Marketing Communications, an Award of Distinction was presented to the Firefly Group, Stacy Ranieri, Megan Morris and Gail Marcarelli for Marketing Marine Electronics of the Treasure Coast.

In the category of Institutional Communications, an Award of Distinction and a Judges Award was presented to the Firefly Group, Stacy Ranieri, Melissa Zolla and Tiffany Smith for the Keep America Beautiful Annual Conference.

Division B Awards were presented for Printed Tools of Public Relations.

In the category of Brochure, a Judges Award was presented to Jayne Platts and the St. Lucie County Tax Collector’s Office for the Tax Collection Explanation for New Homeowners Brochure.

In the category of Poster and Calendar, an Award of Distinction and a Judges Award was presented to The Firefly Group, Stacy Ranieri, Megan Morris and Carlton Ward, Jr. for the 2017 Florida Ranches Calendar.

Division C recognizes Audio/Visual/Online Tools of Public Relations.

In the category of Video News Release, a Judges Award was presented to Jenny Tomes and the Port St. Lucie Utilities Systems for Ring Saved from Sewer.

In the category of Online Promotion, an Image Award and a Judges Award was presented to St. Lucie County Communications, Erick Gill, Patrick LeJeune and Flynn Fidgeon for Procession of the Species.

In the category of Video Institutional, an Award of Distinction was presented to The United Way of Martin County and Uber Creative for The United Way of Martin County’s Brandscape Video.

The Communicator of the Year award is given to a public relations professional, whether a member of FPRA or not, who demonstrates outstanding skills in one of the following four categories – Crisis, For-profit, Government and Nonprofit.

• Crisis Communicator - Major Eric Flowers with the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.

• Communicator for a For-Profit Organization - Anna Valencia Tillery, Vice President of Marketing for White Glove Moving & Storage 

• Communicator for a Government Organization - Sarah Prohaska, Communications Manager for the City of Port St. Lucie

• Communicator for a Nonprofit - Lauren Espitia, Director of Marketing and Communications, Tykes and Teens.
